Registrations

An electrical registration requires that the holder complete a course of training (or equivalent) including on-job practical experience, examinations and safety training.

The number of registrations at 30 June 2000 was 32,844. There were 1,157 new registrations issued during the year.

The number of individuals registered at 30 June 2000 was 32,680. The number of names on the register is less than the number of registrations because some people hold two registrations.

There were 340 names removed from the register for a variety of reasons such as death, gone overseas,retirement, etc.
