Practising Licences

A registered electrical worker must have a licence if working for payment or reward. The Board recognises that a registered electrical worker is competent if they meet the requirements relating to the issuing of a practising licence.

There were 20,043 practising licences issued for the 1999/2000 practising licence year (1 July 1999 to 30 June 2000). There were 20,605 issued the previous year and 20,032 issued during 1997/98.
