Registrations

An electrical registration requires that the holder complete a course of training (or equivalent) including on-job practical experience, examinations and safety training. The number of registrations at 30 June 2001 was 33,913; this includes 91 Provisional licences.

1,216 new registrations were issued during the year. 561 names were removed from the registers this year. These removals were the result of migration, retirement and death.

The number of people registered at 30 June 2001 was 33,484. The number of names on the register is less than the number of registrations because some people hold two registrations.
