Certificates of Compliance

The law requires electrical workers to issue a Certificate of Compliance to their client when they have installed electrical wiring and fittings. The certificate is an assurance that the work is safe and that it complies with the Electricity Act 1992 and its associated regulations.

The Board and its network of resellers sold 135,977 certificates that generated revenue of $743,000. The price of Certificates of Compliance changed in November 1999, therefore the revenue shown here reflects the first complete financial year after the price change.
