  
9. New Regulations for Trees and Power LinesNew regulations were introduced by the Government late last year governing the trimming of trees near power lines. The regulations are designed to promote safety and help maintain power supplies. The regulations define separation distances between trees and power lines and specify who is responsible for ensuring the clearances are maintained.
