Tangible benefits from the savings to dateThe savings made by the Board in relation to its revised publicity and dissemination of information policies have enabled the Board to enter into agreements with Standards New Zealand to provide Standards AS/NZS 3000, and AS/NZS 3760 to practising licence holders and trainees. The Board also entered into an agreement with the Electricity Engineers Association, which enabled the Board to provide a line mechanics handbook to line mechanics that uplifted practising licences. Legislation/regulation amendments and an Electricity Regulations 1997 compilation have also been provided to practising licence holders and trainees. The Board has continued with its two waves of advertising in print in 2003 and 2004 to make the public aware of the need to engage suitably authorised electrical workers who certify their work.
