Examinations

Associated Tradespersons examinations – running outside scheduled dates.

The Board is running three Associated Tradespersons exams in 2013, on dates yet to be confirmed, though the first is set for March 15th. The others are unlikely to occur at the usual exam rounds so watch this space for updates.

Training for these exams is being run by Weltec if you are interested; but anyone who wishes to resit may do so if their local exam centre is willing to hold the exam.

Change to Exam Policy: Programmable Calculators can now be used during EWRB examinations.

If you have a programmable calculator, this can be used AS LONG AS YOU RE-SET IT AS you enter the examination room. Show the supervisor the "ARE YOU SURE YOU WISH TO RESET?" screen and confirm in front of the supervisor.

If your exam centre has a different process for checking of calculators they will advise you prior to the exam.

Remarking

Remarking of examination scripts is available to all candidates up to 21 days after the posting of a failed result notification. An Application for a Remark form must accompany a fee of $25.56 and be received by the EWRB within those 21 days. After 28 days the examination script is returned to candidates thereby negating the option for you to obtain a remark.

If you wish to have your script back earlier than the 28 day remarking period, fill in the Early Return of Examination Script application, there is a fee of $25.56 and your exam paper is scanned before the original is returned. If you then decide to apply for a remark the scanned copy is sent for remarking.

Please note that normally remarking is no longer possible once Examination scripts are returned to candidates (unless we scan the script beforehand).

Top Achievers

In each exam run by the Board the candidates that achieve 95% or more are recognized by a certificate and inclusion in the Top Achiever list.
