Northern Territory

1. Licence

"A" Grade Electrical Mechanics Licence endorsed LE or AT.

2. Equivalence to New Zealand Requirements

This certificate:

    1. Exempts the holder from the 3rd stage theory examination requirements.
    2. Exempts the holder from the 3rd stage practical assessment or examination requirements.
    3. Exempts the holder from the regulations examination requirements.
    4. Is evidence of the completion of 4 years work experience that has incorporated the skills in paragraph 1(2) of Clause 1 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997
    5. Exempts the holder from the safety instruction requirements of Clause 3 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.

3. Registration requirements

Queensland

1. Licences

    1. Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Mechanic endorsed AT or LE.
    2. Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Fitter and Electrical Mechanic endorsed AT or LE.

2. Equivalence to New Zealand Requirements

Either certificate:

2. Equivalence to New Zealand requirements

This certificate:

    1. Exempts the holder from the theory and regulation examination requirements and the practical examination or assessment requirements.
    2. Is evidence of the completion of 2 years work experience that has incorporated the skills in paragraph 1(2) of Clause 1 of Schedule 3 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.

3. Registration requirements

The holder of this certificate must:

    1. Complete three months prescribed electrical work.
    2. Complete the safety instruction requirements of Clause 3 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.

Queensland

1. Licence

Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesman.

2. Equivalence to New Zealand Requirements

This certificate:

    1. Exempts the holder from the theory and regulation examination requirements and the practical examination or assessment requirements.
    2. Is evidence of the completion of 2 years work experience that has incorporated the skills in paragraph 1(2) of Clause 1 of Schedule 3 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.

3. Registration requirements

The holder of this certificate must:

    1. Complete three months prescribed electrical work.
    2. Complete the safety instruction requirements of Clause 3 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.

Victoria

1. Licence

SECV Certificate.

2. Equivalence to New Zealand requirements

This certificate:

    1. Exempts the holder from the theory and regulation examination requirements and the practical examination or assessment requirements.
    2. Is evidence of the completion of 2 years work experience that has incorporated the skills in paragraph 1(2) of Clause 1 of Schedule 3 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.
