Registration requirements to carry out prescribed electrical work on mains parallel generation systems

The Board have recently approved 2 micro-credentials for those who are seeking registration in the endorsed Mains Parallel Generation Systems registration classes.

From 1 September 2025, electrical workers registered as electricians, electrical inspectors, and electrical engineers will be able to meet the registration requirements to work on mains parallel generation systems if they have:

  • been registered for a minimum of 2 years
  • gained both of the following micro-credentials:
    • Grid-connected PV Systems, Design and Install (Level 4)
    • Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems, Design and Install (Level 4)
