We were established in 1992 to promote safety for all New Zealanders by ensuring the competence of electrical and electronic workers.
In this section
The Board enhances electrical safety through improving competency of electrical workers in New Zealand by having a leading role in the sector to deliver occupational regulatory good practise.
The Board consists of seven members from around New Zealand, representing both trade and the public. Five members are registered electrical workers and two are lay members.
The Board meets every month (except January). It discusses licensing matters, compliance, strategic planning and policy matters, and deals with complaints and disciplinary matters.
