Streamlined application process is live
The Electrical Workers Registration Board recently launched a new streamlined application process for endorsed registration classes, making it faster and simpler for you to apply.
The streamlined process allows you to apply for multiple endorsed registration classes in a single application, covered by one registration fee. We have also removed some requirements from the application process. For example, because we already know who you are, you don’t need to provide identity documents.
To apply for an endorsed registration class, you must already hold the main registration class and meet the minimum standards for the endorsed registration class or classes you want to apply for. All endorsed registration classes can still be attained through relevant on‑the‑job experience. No courses are required.
You can submit your application through the electrical workers online portal. Select "Apply for an endorsed registration class" from the menu and choose the endorsed registration classes relevant to your current registration. After you upload the required supporting evidence and pay the registration fee, our licensing team will review your application and contact you with the outcome.

The streamlined process is available only to registered New Zealand electrical workers.
