Distribution Line Mechanic (Endorsed Supervision)
Required work experience
To become a Distribution Line Mechanic (Endorsed Supervision) you must have:
- Held Registration as a Distribution Line Mechanic with the EWRB in New Zealand for a period of not less than 1 year
- Completed not less than 12 months of practical experience in the prescribed electrical work of a Distribution Line Mechanic
- Adequate knowledge, training, skills, and experience satisfactory to the Board of:
- The control of electrical hazards
- The use of the Board’s supervision policy and guides
- The performance of safe and compliant supervision functions in the workplace
- Risk management.
You can choose to complete the following micro-credential to gain the necessary knowledge, training, skills, and experience (point 3 above), or alternatively you can use your work experience:
- Supervision of Prescribed Electrical Work (Micro-Credential)
