Transmission Line Mechanic (Endorsed Supervision)

Required work experience

To become a Transmission Line Mechanic (Endorsed Supervision) you must have:

  • Held registration as a Transmission Line Mechanic with the EWRB in New Zealand for a period of not less than 12 months
  • Completed not less than 12 months of practical experience in the prescribed electrical work of a Transmission Line Mechanic
  • Adequate knowledge, training, skills, and experience satisfactory to the Board of:
    • The control of electrical hazards
    • The use of the Board’s supervision policy and guides
    • The performance of safe and compliant supervision functions in the workplace
    • Risk management.

You can choose to complete the following micro-credential to gain the necessary knowledge, training, skills, and experience (point 3 above), or alternatively you can use your work experience:

  • Supervision of Prescribed Electrical Work (Micro-Credential)
