Electrical Inspector (Endorsed Mains Parallel Generation Systems)
Required work experience
To become an Electrical Inspector (Endorsed Mains Parallel Generation Systems) you must have:
- Held Registration as an Electrical Inspector with the EWRB in New Zealand for a period of not less than 2 years
- Completed not less than 2 years of practical experience in the prescribed electrical work of an Electrical Inspector
- Adequate knowledge, training, skills, and experience satisfactory to the Board of:
- The appropriate, design, control, protection, wiring of system equipment
- Installation requirements of energy systems including inverter systems for injection of electricity through an installation to a network
- The performance of safety functions required for mains parallel generation systems
- Risk management.
You can choose to complete the following 2 micro-credentials to gain the necessary knowledge, training, skills, and experience, or alternatively you can use your work experience:
- Grid-connected PV Systems, Design and Install (Level 4)
- Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems, Design and Install (Level 4)
