Prosecution - EWRB v Connolly

On 30 March 2022 Stephen Connolly was sentenced in the District Court at Wellington by Judge Mill after pleading guilty to 1 charge of holding himself out as registered or licensed in respect of prescribed electrical work. Mr Connolly was overseeing the completion of renovation works at a commercial premises. When asked for a registration number in completing a certificate of completion he provided another Electrician’s registration number.

The defendant was fined $1000 along with being ordered to pay court costs of $130 and solicitors costs to the Electrical Workers Registration Board of $250.
