Section 158 Review of the Electricity Act

The Board must, once every five years, provide a report to the Minister of Building and Construction which reviews the operation of the Electricity Act. The report must consider whether any amendments to the Act are necessary or desirable.

The Board has identified various areas of the Act where it considers amendments may be beneficial. It will release a discussion document in due course and will be talking to electrical workers about the changes as the year progresses at its various stakeholder sessions.
