Making sure a regulation is up to date
Sometimes the latest version of a standard is not the one cited in the regulations, so you should not be using it.
There are two easy ways to confirm which standard is currently cited:
- Schedule 2 of the regulations lists all the latest standards and codes of practice that you should use.
Schedule 2 of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010(external link) — New Zealand Legislation - When viewing standards on the Standards New Zealand website through the EW Portal, look out for the hammer icon next to some of the standards. Hover over the icon to see which legislation the standard is cited in.
